Day 1: arriving to Santa Teresa Beach: Touchdown & First Impressions

I landed in Cóbano Airport and asked a driver to pick me up. Santa Teresa, instantly feeling that familiar wave of humid air and salty streets

  • Kicked off the day with a smoothie bowl at [favorite café]—a must for any traveler looking to fuel up before exploring.

Afternoon:

  • Checked into my Airbnb, a stunning boutique villa with fast Wi-Fi and a hammock for working sessions.
  • Kicked off the day with a smoothie bowl at Cafca Café—a must for any traveler looking to fuel up
  • And go straight to visit my loved one: Santa Teresa Beach
  • The way up back to the airbnb was to hard, I was so happy to come back just to received my ATV delived

Evening:

  • Found the perfect beachfront spot for sunset at Mal Pais with a friend who recommended a secret speakeasy, so of course, I had to check it out!

Day 2: Nature, Adventure & Ice Baths in Santa Teresa

Woke up with the sunrise, ready for a day packed with nature and a bit of wellness.

Morning:

  • Private hike to a hidden waterfall (thank you, local guide!) and a quick dip in the jungle pool.
  • Breakfast at Horizon Yoga and Spa with insane views of the coastline.

Afternoon:

  • Booked myself an ice bath & breathwork session—totally out of my comfort zone, but absolutely worth it.

Evening:

  • Wine-paired dinner at El Facon, to celebrate the reunion. The sound of the waves on the street. Unreal.

Day 3: Culture, Hidden Gems & A Bit of Surf

Halfway through the trip, and I was in full-on adventure mode.

Morning:

  • Must visit: Brekkie Cafe
  • Go surfing all day long. Could not stop

Evening:

  • Post-surf hunger led me to a fusion restaurant that absolutely blew my mind.

Day 4: Remote Work Meets Beach Bliss

As much as I wanted to explore all day, I needed a solid work session too.

Morning:

  • Brunch at SOMOS Café with energy-packed options to keep me going.

Sunset time:

  • A beach escape to a “secret spot”: Playa Suecos.

Evening:

  • Ended the night at Satori Sushi Bar singing in the open jam.

Day 5: Farewell, But Make It Memorable

Morning:

  • I was feeling so tired after surfing almost everyday, but anyway I was dreaming with something special: a horseback ride at sunrise along the shore.

Afternoon:

  • One last brunch at Brekkie before heading to the airport.
  • Final toast to an unforgettable trip—I already know I’ll be back.

Pro Tips for Experiencing Santa Teresa Like a Pro

  • Book in advance: Popular spots sell out fast, and you don’t want to miss out.
  • Getting around: Public transport? Pretty unreliable. But I found an awesome driver, Alex, who made everything so much easier (message me for his contact!).
  • Wi-Fi & work spots: These were my go-to coworking cafés for solid connection and a laid-back vibe.
  • What to pack: Light, breathable clothes for day, something cute for beach nights.

Santa Teresa has this magic that’s hard to put into words, but trust me if you have a chance to stay one month, do it—you’ll feel it as soon as you arrive. If you’re craving a mix of adventure, wellness, and the best remote work setup, this place is it. Until next time, Santa Teresa!
