Spoiled Alert: How I felt the first time travelling by ferry
As the ferry pulled away from the dock, it starts to sail smoothly and the waves lapping against the sides of the boat brought me a sense of calmness. The scenery was breathtaking- blue water stretching beyond the horizon, mountains looming in the distance and seagulls soaring above us.
The experience was picture-perfect. I savored the salty air and soothing rhythm of the waves lulling me into a peaceful state of mind, I was arriving back home I felt Santa Teresa in my chest
Taking the ferry to Santa Teresa for the first time, is an experience I’d love to have again and again!
When planning a trip from San Jose to Santa Teresa, I can’t help but reminisce about the amazing ferry ride from the port of Puntarenas to Paquera. It’s an experience that I recommend to every traveler. I remember being in awe as the spacious vessel accommodated up to 170 vehicles while carrying passengers. It was such a great option for me as I was looking to breath green.
The ferry is stable, and I couldn’t even feel the movement of the tides. I recall the enclosed lounge on the first floor with air conditioning where I enjoyed a costa rican pastry called “empanada”. Some travelers on the Puntarenas Ferry preferred the second floor that offers an open space with refreshing sea breeze and breathtaking island views. The bar with enjoyable music added to the whole experience of feeling the Pura Vida vibes!!
I cherished the fact that pets were welcome on board, isn`t this so cute? There is special area was set aside for pets to be in the Ferry Punterenas – Paquera. The ferry ride was the perfect getaway, ensuring safety, comfort, and unforgettable scenery. How I long for those days again!
